Underbelly is delighted to present Christmas in Leicester Square and Christmas in Trafalgar Square for another wonderful festive season.
Consisting of a beautiful Christmas market and a large Spiegeltent with the world-famous La Clique performing over the course of the season, this is bound to be another Underbelly Christmas spectacular.
Your role of Cover Site Manager will see you working under the instructions of the Company, the Underbelly Producers and the Underbelly Production Manager. This role is a key member of the production team and is responsible for all major operational decisions on-site.

About the Role
The Site Manager is a vital member of the venue team, managing all of the on-site staff to deliver a safe, fun and high quality experience for the artists, audiences and staff.
Your main responsibilites are to manage the entire team on site, and running and maintaining the site on a daily basis. You should be a real people-person whilst also having the practical skills to fix the usual wear and tear of a seasonal temporary site.
Site Manager Responsibilities
Daily Duties
- Managing the whole, busy Christmas site and being responsible for the entire team of staff.
- Having the final say on making the decision to evacuate the site and stop any performance for any reason.
- Being responsible for all health and safety during the run.
- Performing any site maintenance that is required.
- Liaising with the Underbelly core team to receive any support you may require.
Job Requirements and Experience
Ideal Experience
- Proven site and/or venue management background, with experience of festival sites an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of health and safety in an events environment.
- Ability to create a positive work atmosphere.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Excellent team work skills.
- Confident with power/hand tools (own tools preferable).
- Some carpentry experience.

- Diligence and attention to detail.
