We are currently looking to increase our pool of casual technicians for our permanent venue in the heart of Soho, Underbelly Bouleavrd. To express your interest, please send us an up to date CV and brief cover letter outlining your interest in the role.
Role
- Welcoming visiting companies, assisting with their technical rehearsals, rigging specials and programming where required.
- Assisting in daily turnarounds between shows.
- Operating shows as required.
- Keeping full record of all information pertaining to requirements for shows, including turnaround notes, cue sheets and any other paperwork required.
- Ensuring that all backstage facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to by visiting companies and report any issues to management.
Person Specification
- Experience of working as a technician in either a professional or academic environment.
- Good knowledge of theatrical technology specialising in sound, lighting or video, or as a general all-rounder.
- Good working knowledge of health and safety in a theatrical environment.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Comfortable working at height.
