We are looking for an experienced and highly adaptable Videographer to join our team during the Edinburgh Fringe festival period.
This is a fast-paced role capturing a wide variety of festival content across live performances, venues, promotional activity and destination-focused storytelling throughout Edinburgh. You’ll be responsible for producing engaging video content that reflects the energy and diversity of the festival.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience filming live entertainment, including theatre, comedy, circus or similar performance-based events, alongside destination content.
Key Responsibilities
- Filming live performances including theatre, comedy, cabaret, circus and events
- Capturing promotional, behind-the-scenes and social-first festival content
- Producing destination-style footage around Underbelly’s festival venues
- Working closely with the Marketing team to deliver fast-turnaround content
- Editing and delivering content for multiple digital platforms where required
- Managing equipment and ensuring footage is captured efficiently in live environments
- Adapting quickly to changing schedules and festival demands
About You
- Proven professional videography experience, ideally within live events, arts or entertainment
- Strong portfolio showcasing live performance and destination/travel content
- Comfortable filming in low-light, crowded and fast-moving environments
- Able to work independently and manage multiple shoots across the festival
- Strong understanding of social-first video formats and content trends
- Confident using professional camera, audio and stabilisation equipment
- Experience editing using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software
- Calm under pressure with excellent time management skills
Desirable
- Experience working at festivals or live events
- Ability to deliver quick-turnaround edits for social media
- Drone licence or drone experience advantageous
