Job Title: Site & Venue Crew
Rate of Pay: £750/week + £120 subsistence/week
Dates of Work: Early March - 1st June 2026
Additional: All fuel costs will be covered.
Role
We’re looking for practical, hard-working people to join our touring circus crew and be part of the day-to-day, building, running, living and operating in a travelling circus. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team that builds the site, supports the venue, and helps bring the show to life from the ground up.
If you enjoy physical work, teamwork, being outdoors, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a team that brings a show to life through both physical and operational duties, this role is for you.
Site, Tent & Build
- Assisting with site get-ins and get-outs at each tour location.
- Being part of the team that builds and breaks down the big top tent.
- Assisting with the build and breakdown of seating banks and audience area.
- Supporting the build and installation of set and show infrastructure.
- Building and dismantling box office, bar and merchandise areas.
- Moving equipment, handling materials, and preparing the site for opening.
Venue & Operational Support
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the site and venue.
- Working flexibly across departments as required.
- Assisting before, during and after performances to ensure the site operates safely and efficiently.
Audience-Facing Duties
- Selling tickets and handling ticketing enquiries.
- Working on the on-site bar.
- Selling merchandise.
- Checking tickets and directing audiences to their seats
Person Specification
Essential
- Full UK driving licence.
- A tourable live-in vehicle.
- Experience in manual building of sites or sets.
Desired
- Experience building circus or similar tents.
- Experience towing vehicles.
- Experience with power and running cabling.
- Experience installing/maintaining event site plumbing.
- Experience working within travelling or touring shows.
- Experience in operational duties of a show.
