Location: Edinburgh
Contract: Immediate start – 1 September
Rate: £107.50 per day. Will be working 5 days per week in the lead up to the festival, once the festival starts, it will be 6 days a week
Accommodation: Not provided – applicants must already be Edinburgh-based or have accommodation arranged for the duration of the contract.
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support our team during the Edinburgh Fringe festival period.
This is a varied, fast-paced role providing administrative and operational support across signage, traditional marketing, digital marketing, and social media activity. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Marketing team to help ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly and efficiently in the lead-up and throughout the festival.
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing within a live festival environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the delivery of marketing campaigns across print, digital and social channels
- Supporting signage and promotional activity across festival venues
- Scheduling and uploading social media content
- Assisting with content creation and basic graphic design tasks
- General administrative support for the marketing team
- Managing the Marketing inbox
- Helping coordinate marketing materials and campaign assets
- Monitoring campaign activity and reporting where required
- Supporting on-site marketing operations during the festival period
About You
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment
- An interest in marketing, events, arts or live entertainment
- Some experience using social media platforms in a professional or personal capacity
- Basic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
Desirable
- Previous experience in events, marketing or promotions
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram and Facebook content creation
- Experience working as part of a team in a live event environment
