Job Summary
Underbelly are looking for a sound technician to work on Olivier-award-winning cabaret show, La Clique during its run at Christmas in Leicester Square 2024.
Dates of Work:
6th November 2024 - 5th January 2025
Shows nightly except:
No Monday shows except the 30th December
24th, 25th, 26th December and 1st January off.
Rate of Pay:
Freelance rate:
£700/week
Job Description
-
Assisting the UB production department with installing and subsequent removal of sound equipment in the Spiegeltent venue & being responsible for it's day to day maintenance

Assisting with the creation of a Qlab file for the incoming artists during the tech rehearsals.

Welcoming the performing company, assisting with their technical rehearsals.

Operating every show, which will include a Qlab file, live mic's and monitor control

Keeping full record of all information pertaining to sound requirements for shows, including turnaround notes, cue sheets and any other paperwork required.

Keep accurate records of sound levels, consumables required and communicate these to your line manager

Ensuring that all backstage facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standard.

Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to and report any issues to management.
Job Requirements

Experience of working as a sound technician in a professional environment. Including mixing of live instruments and foldback for performers.

Good knowledge of theatrical sound technology including rigging, patching, focussing and programming of digital sound desks, preferably on Midas orYamaha desks.

Good working knowledge of d&b Audiotechnik PA systems

Good working knowledge of programming and operating QLab.

Good working knowledge of health and safety in a theatrical environment.

Excellent problem solving skills.

Comfortable working at height.
