Job Title: Car Park Attendant

Rate of Pay: £13.45/hr (plus holiday pay), 15hr/week minimum

Nevill Holt Festival is an arts and culture festival held in the Leicestershire countryside each June. Building on a decade of opera performances, the festival now includes opera, concerts, conversations, performances, art exhibitions, family events and open gardens.
Role
- Guiding vehicles into appropriate parking areas within a grass field environment.
- Ensuring vehicles are parked in an organised and space-efficient manner.
- Managing the steady flow of traffic entering and exiting the site to minimise congestion.
- Providing clear directions and information to festival attendees in a friendly and professional manner.
- Monitoring the condition of the parking area and reporting any issues (e.g. ground conditions, hazards, obstructions) to the Site Manager.
- Assisting with pedestrian safety by maintaining clear walkways and being aware of vehicle/pedestrian interactions.
- Supporting accessible parking arrangements and assisting guests with additional needs where required.
- Following all health & safety procedures, including traffic management plans and emergency protocols.
- Maintaining a visible, approachable presence at all times.
Person Specification
- Confident, friendly and approachable manner.
- Good, clear verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when managing busy or high-pressure situations.
- Strong awareness of safety, particularly in vehicle and pedestrian environments.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a wider team.
- Proactive and able to use initiative when resolving minor issues.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- Positive, flexible attitude with a willingness to assist where needed.
