Job Title: Green Room Host
Reports To: Senior Event Producer & Assistant Producer

Rate of Pay: £13.45/hr (plus holiday pay), 15hr/week minimum
Dates of Work: 25th May 2026 – 22nd June 2026
Nevill Holt Festival is an arts and culture festival held in the Leicestershire countryside each June. Building on a decade of opera performances, the festival now includes opera, concerts, conversations, performances, art exhibitions, family events and open gardens.
Role
- Ensure green room amenities (food, beverages, seating, private spaces) are prepared and maintained
- Greet artists, speakers, and guests upon arrival.
- Attend to special requests or accommodations promptly
- Help manage catering, including cleaning of trays and clearing used items.
- Maintain general cleanliness, organisation, and a professional atmosphere in the green room.
- Monitor access to ensure only authorised personnel enter.
- Assist with artist transport coordination, liaising with drivers and producers.
- Support scheduling for arrivals and communicate effectively with Stage Manager’s and Event Producer’s to ensure smooth artist transitions.
- Serve as one of the points of contact for artist queries and operational concerns during the festival.
- Quickly resolve last-minute schedule changes or artist issues with discretion at request
Person Specification
- Experience in artist hospitality, event management or backstage production support (Desirable)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physically able to assist with catering, including small amounts of lifting and cleaning up.
- Flexible to work evenings, and weekends.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Passion for live events, music, arts, or festival culture
- Ability to take instruction and use initiative
