Job Title: Bar Manager
Reports To: Underbelly Head of Food and Beverage
Responsible For: F&B Team
Rate of Pay: £800 per week (plus holiday pay), 48 Hour Contract
Dates of Work: 25th May 2026 – 24th June 2026
ABOUT NEVILL HOLT FESTIVAL The Nevill Holt Festival is an arts and culture festival held in the Leicestershire countryside each June. Building on a decade of opera performances, the festival now includes opera, concerts, conversations, performances, art exhibitions, family events and open gardens.
Role
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the bars.
- Working in collaboration with the restaurant management team to deliver food operations.
- Ordering and managing of deliveries.
- Managing a team of bar and waiting team.
- Shift planning effectively to ensure all staff are happy and enthusiastic about work.
- Creating & managing rotas to budget with support from Operations.
- Maintaining clear, clean and organised bars and back of house facilities.
- Delivering drink operations and serves to specifications.
- Maintenance and upkeep of non-consumable assets.
- Ensure that the team adheres to all H&S legislation and that all mandatory training is completed on time.
- Application and close monitoring of stock management processes by yourself and the team.
Person Specification
- Hold an Alcohol Personal Licence.
- Confident, enthusiastic, professional and self-motivated.
- Good, clear verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to recognise potential health and safety issues before they arise.
- Demonstratable knowledge of customer service principles.
- Experience in delivering a wide range of drinks including cocktails.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent timekeeping skills.
- Positive and flexible approach.
- Knowledgeable in the reading & application of P&L/budget actions
