Available Contracts: Various minimum hour contracts available (6-20 hrs per week)
The Nevill Holt Festival is an arts and culture festival held in the Leicestershire countryside each June. Building on a decade of opera performances, the festival now includes opera, concerts, conversations, performances, art exhibitions, family events and open gardens.
We're looking for a Bar team to look after our two bars at the festival. These bars will run through the day for anyone that enters the festival. The site will also host a 350-seater Spiegeltent - filled with loads of fun shows, from family circus extravaganzas, to cabaret delights.
Role
- Set up, stock and strike event spaces and bars.
- Assist in preparing, serving and cleaning food and drink for event, maintaining consistency and quality, even when under pressure.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of products and understand key perfect serves.
- Maintain an organised and clean stock room and front and back of house areas.
- Prepare and store correctly garnish used for drinks.
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with other bar staff and management.
- Maintain good H&S/ HACCP practices as guided by senior management, including working environments, licensing and food handling.

- Confident, enthusiastic, professional and self-motivated.
- Good, clear verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to recognise potential health and safety issues before they arise.
- Demonstrable knowledge of customer service principles.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent timekeeping skills.
- Positive and flexible approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team whilst also being able to work independently.
