Job Title: Bar Duty Manager

Responsible For: Bar Staff
Rate of Pay: £15.00/hr (plus holiday pay)
Dates of Work: 30th May 2025 – 22nd June 2025
Available Contracts: 20-30 hours a week over 4-5 day week (Mondays, Tuesdays usually off)
The Nevill Holt Festival is an arts and culture festival held in the Leicestershire countryside each June. Building on a decade of opera performances, the festival now includes opera, concerts, conversations, performances, art exhibitions, family events and open gardens.
We're looking for Bar Duty Managers to lead our Bar teams in our main Festival bar and our Spiegeltent Bar.
We encourage applications with any experience - candidates must be able to get to the Nevill Holt Estate for a variety of shift times.
Role
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the bars.
- Managing a team of bar staff and supervisors.
- Shift planning effectively to ensure all staff are happy and enthusiastic about work.
- Ensure that the team adheres to all H&S legislation and that all mandatory training is completed on time.
- Ensure correct stock management processes are constantly followed by the team.
Person Specification
- Hold an Alcohol Personal Licence
- Confident, enthusiastic, professional and self-motivated.
- Good, clear verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to recognise potential health and safety issues before they arise.
- Demonstratable knowledge of customer service principles.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent timekeeping skills.
- Positive and flexible approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team whilst also being able to work independently.
