OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Nevill Holt Festival is looking for a creative, energetic and social media–savvy individual to join our marketing team as a Social Media and Content Assistant for the 2025 festival season.
Working on a set-day basis and paid hourly, you'll be an essential part of our on-site team, helping us grow and engage our online audiences. You'll be responsible for creating and scheduling content across our channels, capturing live festival moments, managing community engagement, and ensuring our digital presence reflects the energy and excellence of the festival.
This role is ideal for someone who loves the arts, thrives in a fast-paced festival environment, and lives and breathes social media trends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the day-to-day activity across all Nevill Holt Festival social media channels.
• Create engaging content on your phone (photo and video) that reflects the brand voice and supports ticket sales and audience engagement.
• Monitor and respond to messages, comments and tags across platforms, acting as the first point of contact for online enquiries.
• Coordinate with marketing, programming, and front-of-house teams to source content opportunities.
• Work with photographers/videographers to capture and produce high-quality, timely content.
• Schedule posts in line with festival programming and marketing goals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align digital output with broader marketing campaigns.
• Assist in basic graphic design and editing where needed (using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
• Stay on top of current social trends and identify opportunities to integrate them into our content.
REQUIREMENTS
• Experience or a keen interest managing social media accounts
• A strong understanding of content best practices on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X (Twitter).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for detail.
• A genuine love for social media and storytelling through content.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
• Calm under pressure and comfortable working in a fast-paced live event environment.
• Experience in arts, festivals or live events is desirable but not essential.
• Familiarity with tools like Canva, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar is a plus.
