Job Title: Production Assistant

Rate of Pay: £650/week for a five day week (inclusive of holiday pay)
Dates of Work: ASAP - September 12th 2025
Available Contracts: Temporary, fixed term - 6 days a wekk
Looking for an organised, hard-working individual to join our Production team working on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year. Successful applicants will be expected to provide admin support across our Fringe sites through the following:
- Researching cost options for hires and purchases and presenting them for comparison to the event production manager / producer. Once these are approved, you will generate Purchase Orders to confirm these items.
- Recruiting freelancers/staff across all Fringe build roles and collating info in spreadsheet format as per budget for PM review. Once these are approved you will generate Purchase Orders to confirm these individuals for the job and keep track of any subsequent change to availability, supplementing crew number where necessary.
- Drafting contracts for Production employees during the operational phase of the Fringe
- Working with event production managers / producers to fill out event budgets with predicted and actual costs for approval by directors.
- Keeping track of production spending through recording credit card purchases and providing coding for PayPal purchases.
- Providing logistical support by arranging travel and accommodation for production team members and freelance employees as directed.
- Creating documents in advance of site builds to facilitate operations on site e.g. schedules, advance info documents, H&S surveys, sign in sheets, order sheets etc. Ensuring these documents are maintained and up to date
- Providing on site support during build and strike phases of an event through setting up site reception and facilitating any build/strike purchases as needed. You will act as an extra pair of hands to help with jobs on site where needed.
- Providing operational support for site/production managers throughout the live period of the Fringe, either through the purchase of required tools/equipment (as approved by PM), or arranging any repairs / maintenance required on event infrastructure through supplier contacts.
